CCC Stars Soccer - The Purple Dragons

It's spring, it reached 100 degrees twice this week, and spring soccer officially kicked off today with their first game. We had a blast - there are 7 kids on Matt's team and only 2 of them have played before. It's so much fun to watch them! It's like watching a ball rolling around that has a 10-legged bug chasing it. More importantly, Matt loves it and that's all that really matters.

The Purple Dragons (Matt's team, named by the kids of course) prevailed today.....Matt scored 4 goals and luckily is exhausted :-).

We switched to a new league this year run by Cornerstone. Not only does it really stress developing the basic skills but the kids work towards five merit stars (kind of like badges but they're for respect, discipline, caring, responsibility, citizenship, and faith). As they call it, it's "more than a game". We're loving it so far - what a completely different and positive experience. It kind of looks like the kids are having a little fun too :-).
