We decided to take advantage of the long weekend and the gorgeous weather on Sunday. We took the kids to the Birch Aquarium in La Jolla, have lunch @ the place where Manny & I had our first date, and Matt went golfing with Poppy (as it was the ONE fun thing he wanted to do this weekend)........It was such a nice day with the kids, even though we spent two hours driving around San Diego in traffic and ended up not getting to visit Hodad's (our first date lunch) because the line was around the building.
The good news is that the place is still there....we can't be that old yet! Humble beginnings:

I am so very grateful for Manny. It's amazing what you can cram into 11 years....we had fun looking back today and marveling at how much things have changed and how far we've come. I couldn't have asked or wished for a better partner.....thanks babe for always being so supportive, making me laugh, and not getting irritated with all of the drinking glasses that I leave everywhere :-).
OK, so the kids loved the aquarium & Matt was so busy taking his own pictures that I didn't get too many of him......so please pardon the lopsided post!

They have a gorgeous view from the deck where the tide pools are and Meghan loved looking out over the ocean.....she was like a starfish on the glass herself.

How fun! We've never been there. We'll have to check it out sometime this summer. You look great, by the way!
