It's officially fall (almost!)

It's October, the Santa Ana winds are blowing, and it's 90 degrees outside. I guess it's officially fall so we attempted to ring fall in by taking the kids to Zoomars for some petting zoo fun and to visit the pumpkin patch. As usual, it's fun-filled and complete with weird Andrade mayhem (more on that below). Found this place in San Juan Capistrano (that would be an hour away over very hilly terrain) so we decided to take the kids on a fun trip.

The petting zoo was really fun - they had a goat pen (those things really do nibble on your shirt and do jump up on you). Meghan really liked them and Matt thought he was one of them. Next up, the bunny/guinea pig pen. also fun however one rabbit did not particularly like Manny and bit him.... more than once. The kids played on the playground and then went for a pony ride. Meghan didn't care for that so much but was OK as long as I stuck close by.

Feeding the bunnies/guinea pigs:

The horses:

Meghan really liked the pony from THIS distance only.

Their pumpkin patch was really fun too. They had a great hay maze that Meghan tried to pull all of the hay out of the walls.

Finally - a pumpkin just my size!

This place was awesome - wasn't all that expensive and had everything a kid could possibly want to play with.

The usual Andrade mayhem: Meghan got carsick on the way there and sadly threw up all over herself...poor kid. Got there, had a ball, and decided to stop for a treat at Mickey D's for lunch. Meghan managed to get a hold of a container of BBQ sauce, squeezed the life (and sauce) out of it managing to saturate both her pants and mine, and got it all over my arms and hair too. I am seriously marinated. While I was trying to clean up the mess, she managed to slip off of the bench she was sitting on and because I am a bad mom she smacked her head on the ground. Good news: we made it home in one piece.

Guess I got a little picture happy this time....my apologies. Couldn't decide which ones I liked best. On days like today (especially anyway), even through baby puke, bbq sauce and bumped heads, I am so grateful for my beautiful babies.

Sounds like a fun day! I don't think there are too many pictures, I often wish you put more pictures on you blog. I enjoy looking at them!
