10 Big Ones

First and foremost - thanks so much everyone for your kind thoughts and prayers for Meghan. I am extremely pleased to say that the course of strong antibiotics (we're on day 16 of 20) appears to be working. Her sinuses seem to be cleared. It's awesome having a baby that no longer sounds like a diesel truck when she's breathing!!!

The best news.....she has now slept through the night for 10 nights straight. Manny & I just don't know how to deal with decent rest. The first few nights I kept waking up wanting to check on her and make sure that she was OK. She's now settled into a pattern where she goes to be about 9 and sleeps until 8. Now all we have to do is get Matt to sleep past 6!!

So to commemorate Meghan's 10-night milestone, here's the top 10 funny (and not to funny things about her):

10. It is impossible for her to sit down while taking a bath. She either stands
or squats but will NOT sit down. She picks up her feet and kicks them to splash. Weird, I know.
9. She LOVES Abby Cadabby from Sesame Street. She even makes her Abby doll talk into her magic wand just like Abby does on the show.
8. The kid will eat anything crunchy (cheerios, baby crackers, tortilla chips, even barbecue potato chips), but refuses to eat anything squishy like fruit, veggies or bread.
7. She tries to say cock-a-doodle-doo when she sees the rooster in her farm book but it doesn't come out quite right.
6. She LOVES her new shoes. Poor kid has an extra-wide foot so we had to get her shoes from Stride-Rite because they're the only one who makes them wide enough. As soon as she gets up in the morning she sits down and tries to put them on herself.
5. Meghan likes packing her own "bag" (usually a gift bag with some toys in it), drags it down the hallway and waves bye-bye as if she is going out.
4. She is starting to laugh like Ernie.
3. Meghan tries to climb everything lately however, when she does so she lifts her leg up and backwards instead of up and forward. Instead of climbing things sometimes she looks like an awkward chubby flamingo with cankles! It's hysterical.
2. She's fearless (and I think my heart has stopped a few times from her stunts!).
1. Since she's feeling better her little personality has started coming out. Someone today called her sassy and that is SO appropriate. She can get anyone to do just about anything using either charm or force (a howl that is!).

Our other little ray of sunshine has his first loose tooth. Anyone know the going rate for teeth now? He says that his friends at school get $5 a tooth. I guess these are inflationary times. I remember being happy with two quarters and a pack of Trident!!!

So we're enjoying our two little blessings.......and thankful for them every day!

Love to all!!!
