A Landmark

So much happens in one year! We can't believe Meghan is already a year old. She decided to walk about a week before her birthday and has been following Matt ever since. She has a handful of words (cookie, uh-oh, all gone, and my personal favorite "go-go-go-go" that is said with great gusto! (I'm guessing she learned that one while one of us was in traffic??)).


Saw the allergist again this week and we're now trying a diagnostic super-duper antibiotic to rule out a really nasty sinus infection that hasn't cleared. The soy has helped a little but she's still so stuffy she has trouble sleeping well. So we wait for 10 days to see if that does anything and if not we move on to the next suspected diagnosis. Cross your fingers!


We're finally getting around to posting these from Meghan's birthday. The birthday girl enjoyed her cake from afar......

but didn't like it so much up close:

Meghan did pretty well with everyone and loved all the tissue paper the best. Here are a few more photos courtesy of Rob.

Finally, a few pictures of the cake/centerpieces that I made. You wouldn't believe how many places we went trying to find wheat grass!

I think we're still trying to recover from all that fun.......especially because I somehow managed to burn myself with a cold-heat glue gun (yes, it's possible) from gluing together all the little dragonflies and butterflies. Note to self: next year stick to a theme where you can find and buy the decorations that you like.
