Christmas Day

Christmas Day was nice. We held off Matthew until 7:15 and then woke Meghan because Matt was about to bounce off of the walls.

This one was kind of fun because her face totally conveys that she's starting to understand that there's something cool inside the box.

Meghan was kind of fun because she wanted to try on the clothes that she opened - at one point she had her jammie sleepers, a new PJ top and a sweater on all at the same time (see below - she's wearing 3 shirts).

Matt was so busy we could hardly get him to sit still for a picture so we caught at least one where you couldn't see his face but proves that he was there!!! This one is kind of like where's Waldo with the huge mess that was (and still sort of is) our living room (points awarded to you if you can find Matt):

I think Meghan's favorites were her her pink pony from Auntie Brenda, her tricycle, and the baby doll (her name is dolly but sounds like daddy so i get really confused who she's really referring to!):

One of Matt's favorite gifts this year was the Wii from Santa (he beats Manny at bowling ALL the time) and digital camera that Grandma & Papa gave him (another reason why we couldn't get pictures of him!)

Mischief at her finest (e.g. trying to open Uncle Rob's gifts for him):
Still can't manage to get one good picture of the two kids!!

My mom saved (and graciously stored) my rocking chair that I had when I was a kid and the baby doll bed that I had and now they are Meghan's. It's really neat to be able to share those things.....next up, my entire stash of My Little Ponies!!

The prime rib turned out great - but Manny & I took shifts with Meghan because she was on overload and threw the mother of all tantrums. We took shifts sitting with her in her room so that someone got to eat while the food was warm!!
Manny & I are so very grateful to everyone..........even though our poor house is stuffed beyond capacity. Thank you so much to everyone for being so thoughtful. We are certainly blessed beyond mention, not because of the "things" that we received but for our family and the thoughtfulness. It definitely was a great Christmas.

What it's really all about....these lovely shiny faces:

We're still trying to come up with storage solutions (aren't all of us with little kids always trying to be "ingenious" about that??).....but for now the house is a mess but as long as the kids are happy, it'll do for me!

Has the pony driven you insane yet?!? Tayla got one too:) We "love" it too. Isn't it great when parents save your stuff for your kids. My mom has too and I love it. I'll always remember playing my little ponies with you, I learned to braid on one of your my little pony tails!
