The new arrival

McKenna Hope Andrade finally arrived on July 2 at 10:04 a.m. weighing in at 8 pounds, 9 ounces and 20 inches long. Labor wasn't too bad this time around but certainly not as fast as Meghan. Water broke at 10 p.m. Wednesday night, went to the hospital and had the joy of pitocin to get things going. She was born a short time later on Thursday.

We got to go home Friday, and on further thought I wish I could have stayed one more day. Had some wacky stuff going on with me and really felt awful. Feeling better now though and we're just taking things one day at a time.

So far, McKenna has proven that she can sleep through pretty much anything - even Matt playing Star Wars and crashing things at the top of his lungs. I'm glad she's mellow. She's eating well, sleeping pretty well (we got two 5 hours stretches of sleep the last 2 nights now). She's not a crier but does HATE to have her diapers changed. Other than that, she only cries when she's hungry. So far a sweet girl.

Matt & Meghan have been trying to be helpful and most of the time they are. We're adjusting to juggling kids and my mom has been SO helpful.

Some random pics:
First Bath:

She does this funny thing sometimes where she only opens one eye - and it's normally only the right eye that stays closed. She's a tiny pirate.

As she says, Meggie like it!

It's funny how McKenna seems long and skinny compared to Matt & Meghan at this age, however she's certainly not all that skinny. She's built like Meggie but somehow seems narrower or something.

Angel girl:

Daddy & his girls!

Siblings!

a proud big brother.

Life's crazy but good :-).
