School starts a week from Wednesday......yaaaayyyyy!!! Luckily Matt's as excited about it as I am.
Grammy & Poppy gave Matt a new Star Wars Clone Wars backpack. This is serious stuff and a must-have for any first-grade boy. Clone Wars is where it's at apparently. He's all hooked up with the backpack, lunch kit, pencils, glue sticks, pencil case all featuring the Clone Wars. The boy is a fanatic - if he's not watching the movies, the cartoon, playing Star Wars on the Wii, or playing with his Star Wars action figures, he's drawing the characters & coloring them in. Our baby is growing up - I remember when he was obsessed with Elmo. Those days are long gone.

In true grandparent fashion, Grammy always makes it fair. She made some adorable bags for the girls. She's SO talented :-).
The Meghinator has her bag stuffed with her sunglasses, Chapstick (we're fighting seriously bad dry face), her two little horsies, her play cell phone, her library book, a dime, and a penny. I'm not sure how she can get all that into her bag but it's funny to watch her carry it all over the place, both around the house and out in the world.
McKenna's bag is really beautiful too :-). Grammy did an awesome job and it even has all the lovely little pockets in it. We love pockets.
Thanks Grammy for the awesome stuff. Maybe we can now dub her the bag lady......hmmm..on second thought, maybe not!
