For you, those dearest to me anyway, I am staging a paint intervention. It's for your own good really.
First, a little background. For some odd reason, when I get really stressed out I paint things. A nice landscape, a still life perhaps? Not this odd duck - I paint walls (seriously - I don't even know why). White walls are my arch enemy. The only white walls we have in the house are in the laundry room - and that just may change.
So I've been totally stressed out- kids, work, school, etc. You name it and this week I was worried about it. So I managed to paint the lower half of the hallways & the living room, the chair rail itself, and ALL of the interior walls (inside and out) and the doorjambs. The good news is that I was able to put down the paintbrush before I turned myself loose on the baseboards.
The point: if ever any one of you gets this idea to paint ANYTHING what you think is a nice shade of olive green, DON'T DO IT! When we moved into the house, I wanted to make the guest bathroom a "spa" bathroom (e.g. someplace nice to escape for a bath or somewhere to serenely lock yourself into when your kids are driving you nuts). So I picked this nice green color.
This week I decided to change the green too......to a nice shade of warm buff. Luckily Lowe's makes this high-hide color change primer. I had to coat those walls with 3 coats before that lovely olive went away. Good news is that my stress level held up until I got it covered and now we have gratefully returned to the land of warm earthtones (pictures to follow once I can feel my arms again LOL).
Seriously - if you change your mind about things like I do - DON'T go with the olive green paint!
